Q: Why should a PAWWD sitter be used?

A: Your pet will remain in his or her familiar, secure environment and follow his or her customary diet and exercise routine. Your pet is not exposed to illness of other animals. Most importantly, your pet receives lots of love and personal attention while you are away. We have NO black out dates! Our sitters are completely backed up by one of our other sitters in cases of emergency, illness or sitter vacations.
PAWWD sitters have passed a background check and are under the bonding and liability insurance of PAWWD:Pets Are What We Do LLC. But also we are loving, dependable and trustworthy!

Q: What do you do on a visit?

A: Our pet sitting visits include: Feeding per your instructions, fresh water, dogs walked (per your request) love and play time, brushing, litter box cleaned, bird cage cleaned, medication given if needed, mail and newspaper brought in, plants watered, lights on and off. Lots of TLC.

Q: Do you arrive to the visit at the time we ask for?

A: Our visits are completed within a time frame and we will be there during that time. If you are booking a cat visit for the morning and it is during peak times such as holidays we will be there in the later mornings. This is of course if time is critical in the notes section you pay specify a time.  If time is critical, please let us know.

Q: If my pet has an “accident”, is it cleaned up?

A: Yes, we will clean up after your pets to the best of our ability. If there are always accidents, we will ask you to book an additional visit in the day to allow for another opportunity to relieve their bladders. We will do a walk through to check for accidents, clean the accidents up, and also inform you via your journal .

Q: What information do I need to provide at the "Initial Hello"?

A: Prior to the Initial Hello; you will need to fill out your profile completely . We will then have all the information we need about your pets allowing us to spend the initial meeting getting to know you and your pets. To get started, please click " New Clients" above.

Q: Is the " Initial Hello" free?

A: The initial consultation (meet n’ greet) is FREE. PAWWD also prefers to have the meet n’ greet within 3 weeks of your services beginning.

Q: What happens in the event of an emergency?

A: In the event of an emergency you will contacted in transit to your selected veterinarian listed in your client profile. However, if there is concern the sitter will also make note in your journal as well as the manager will reach out via text or phone call to the number provided. 

Q: May I give my pet sitter / dog walker a gratuity?

A: Certainly! We much prefer you to leave cash for your sitter at your home and leave a note so they are aware it is for them. Gift cards are also a great idea. You may also request to add a gratuity to your invoices but taxes will have to be taken out and be reported.

Q: Do you pick up my dog’s waste when you are walking?

A: Yes, we do. We do ask that you provide the bags but in the event you are out we do carry our own.

Q: What kind of animals do you care for?

A: We care for a variety of animals ranging from chickens, reptiles, amphibians, cats, dogs, fish, and so much more!

Q: May I book my visits through my pet sitter directly?

A: No, All visits should be booked through our online booking system. You may also email us at contactpawwd@getpawwd.com. Your visits will NOT be covered under our liability insurance if you do not book through our system.  

Q: What hours do you provide services?

A: Pet Sitting and dog walking visits are generally between 6:30 am to 10:30 pm. Other times can be arranged. Overnight visits are also available from 10:30 pm to 6:30 am.

Our office hours are 9:00-5:00pm Monday-Friday.

Q: Can I be assured of having the same pet sitter each time?

A: We prefer to have the continuity of the same pet sitter each time. However, If the sitter is not available then a fully informed substitute sitter will be available for back up.

Q: Do you offer any sort of satisfaction guarantee?

A: Yes, we do. You only want to confirm that your pets will be cared for in the way you specify. We will guarantee this every time! If you are not 100% satisfied with the service that PAWWD has provided, we will be happy to address your concerns. We believe in lasting client relationships, so our services are complete only when you return home and are completely satisfied.

Q: Will I be informed of how my pet is doing while I’m away?

A: Yes, absolutely. Using the email, provided when you registered, we will send you a journal after EVERY visit. This journal will include details of your visit, with photos, and a place for you to communicate directly with your sitter.

Q: Do you charge a holiday fee?

A: Yes, we do. We pet sit 365 days a year. We charge a holiday fee of $3 per visit on the day of the following holidays.

New Years Eve, New Years Day, Easter, Thanksgiving Day and day after, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Memorial Day, Easter, and nationally recognized holidays.

**Master's week there will be an additional $5 surcharge PER DAY**

 

This is to ensure pet sitters who are giving of their holiday time are compensated accordingly.

Q: Are you insured and bonded?

A: Yes. We carry liability insurance and all sitters are bonded as well.

Q: Do you board?

A: We do not board pets in our home. We do, however, provide daily visits for your pets or we can stay overnight within your home.

We will always strive customize a schedule to fit your pet needs. Your pets will be much happier in their own home stress free!

Q: How is payment handled?

A:  We only accept credit cards as payments. Payments are processed through the invoice sent to the email provided. It will appear as a Quickbooks payment request.

Q: What happens if I did not leave enough food for my pet(s)?

A: You will be notified that there is not enough food by a phone call or text. You will also be informed by your sitter in your journal so that you are aware and perhaps you have more food in another place in your home. If we do need to make a special trip to purchase food we will be glad to do so. There will be a $15 charge plus the cost of the food. 

Q: How will I get my key back if I move or discontinue service if you are keeping my keys on file?

A: We will gladly, upon your request, arrange for a drop off or pick up time. There will be a convenience fee of $5 charged.

Q: What is your privacy policy?

A: PAWWD: Pets Are What We Do, LLC  will safeguard with confidentiality and security of the information we obtain from you. We are committed to protecting your privacy. We use the information we collect for the purpose of your pets visits.This notice describes our privacy policy as it relates to the collection, protection and disclosure of such information resulting from client registrations and profiles.
