Key Policy

For the assurance of having access to the home for the completion of services we adhere to a two-key policy.

What does that mean?

PAWWD requires two keys, one is kept locked in the office and the other key for sitters to use during the day for scheduled visits. It is to your discretion if you'd like your key secured with us or if you'd like it returned after the completion of your scheduled services. Using your client portal a key drop off/ pick up may be scheduled for a $5 convenience fee. PAWWD encourages keys be securely left in PAWWD's possession in the event of last minute scheduling be it work related or emergency travel.

* Keys will never be locked within the home in the event we will need to regain access due to unforeseen delays returning home **

Using a secure lockbox at your residence:

PAWWD acknowledges that clients may have secure lock boxes holding their house key at their residence therefore, we suggest it not be hung on the door knob or in a highly visible location. PAWWD will also require that a code, unknown to others, be provided as the client acknowledges that the sharing of home access with other services may waive the right of coverage, under insurance and bonding. However, PAWWD will still require one key be secured within our secured office in event the event we cannot get the secure lockbox to unlock.

Using a garage door opener or a coded door lock:

Although PAWWD will accept a garage door opener or coded door lock to be given as a form of entry, PAWWD will still require at least one hard copy key in the event of power loss. Having this hard copy ensures that if batteries or power fails PAWWD will still be able to enter and secure the pets. PAWWD will also still require that a code, unknown to others, be provided as the client acknowledges that the sharing of home access with other services may waive the right of coverage, under insurance and bonding.
